The aftermath

Three Thanksgiving meals later and we're still alive and in one piece. One giant piece. No one skimped on the food out here (see: Seriousness about Food in Bologna). But the unfortunate part about not having the feast at your Mom's house is that you don't get sent home with Ziplocks full of leftovers.

There are few things I like more than a piece of cold turkey sprinkled with a little salt. Am I alone in this?

A sentiment has been shared with me several times over the last week. It goes like this: LESS WORDS! MORE PICTURES!! Okay, I get it. So here you are. A few shots of what Thanksgiving Weekend looked like at our house.

Look who found the tomato soup leftovers!

Staying busy in her high chair while I show her a thing or two about making apple pie.

Apples ready for slicing and mixing with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and flour. So simple. So delicious.
Saturday's dinner at SAIS
Sunday morning food coma.
Saturday afternoon playing out in the campagna with some more generous ward members.

i love the food coma picture. i can definitely identify with it. :)
i am really glad you got to celebrate thanksgiving - even if differently. thought a lot about you guys and the importance of holidays when you're far away from home.

Is the "so simple" line a shot at my lack of pie making ability?
