The back seat

I fell off the blogger map for a bit. Other things have taken the front seat, like dentist appointments, prepping for a cross-country move, and soaking up family and summer and lazy days. Not that I haven't had thing to write about here: a post on defeat, on roots, on cavities.

We leave two weeks from tomorrow. Things are beginning to come together. We've got an apartment, we put a new battery in the car, we got a cargo bag for the roof and have begun making mental lists of things to take (and not to take). We've mapped our route and begun looking for stops and attractions along the way.

Any suggestions?
