The show was beautiful. I can't wait to post picture for all you out-of-towners. It's up through January so stop by if you get the chance. I think the piece I made marks a sort of juncture in my work. I'm excited to see where it takes me.
Mikey is applying for jobs every week and working as hard as ever in his last semester on Cougar Campus. Meanwhile I spend most days covered in paint and gesso and wondering why I keep showering before I paint. It's utterly useless. I currently have paint literally from head to toe and I love it.
A few weekends ago I had to chance to visit Brian Kershisnik's studio for the day and work on projects for him with a few other students. How incredible! We gessoed and stretched, nailed and stapled, painted and cleaned . . . I learned so much (and took about a bazillion pictures for some landscapes I'm thinking about doing). Times like these make me wish I could paint full-time right now (and that my "studio" was ten times as big).

Loved your piece at the show. It caught my eye right as I descended the staircase. So glad you are covered in paint from head to toe!
