The weather has been a bit of a downer. It's cold and wet. You know as a kid when you come to the California coast and you expect it to be sunshine all day. It is called the Sunshine State isn't it? (If you're thinking, "No, that's Florida, then you're right). But your parents assure you twice daily that it will "burn off" in time to go to the beach.

In our case, it doesn't "burn off" until 5. As in 5pm. Seventeen-hundred hours. Almost dinner. A few hours before the sun sets.

But don't get me wrong, the days have been fun-filled and fancy free. The perfect way to describe any vacation.

Today I watched Mikey run toward the surf and punch the air everytime the cold water got a little higher up his stomach. I laughed everytime. After playing in the waves and drying off a bit we took the bikes up and down the coast and gawked at multimillion dollar beach houses.  And we picked out the ones we're going to purchase, or fix up, or demolish. I loved it.
